Microbe-nourishing very berry kefir smoothie

There are so many delicious ways you can enjoy kefir, so even if you’re not quite there yet on drink a glass on it’s own, all taste buds will enjoy this recipe! P.s. just like wine, another fermented food, kefir on it’s own is an acquired taste, that most people grow to love!

Ingredients

Very Berry Kefir Smoothie (dairy kefir)

  • 1 frozen banana, 100g peeled
  • 250ml dairy kefir (we used Bio&Me Natural Kefir drink)
  • 100g frozen mixed berries
  • 1 Medjool date, pitted

Toppings (optional)

  • 15g strawberries, halved
  • 1 tbsp no added sugar granola (we used Bio&Me Super Seedy & Nutty granola)

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and bliz until smooth.
  2. Add your any optional toppings, and enjoy!
