Stop thinking you need to ‘cut out’ foods
By The Gut Health Doctor Team
PSA: Cutting out food groups unnecessarily can do more harm than good – and could lead to deficiencies! Not to mention the impact on your gut health, mental health and relationship with food.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (and again and again and again…): you do NOT need a restrictive diet to have good gut and overall health!
I can’t stress enough how much more important it is to think about what you can add-in. Adding an extra plant point here and there, extra fibre, extra texture, extra flavour.
So you CAN still enjoy all your favourite foods.
Tuck into that pizza and why not think about adding some extra mushrooms on top?
Enjoy that cheesy pasta and why not pour in a tin of lentils too?
Go for that weekend roast dinner and how about ordering an extra side of spinach or steamed veggies along with it?
