London, UK

In 2005, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although I loved cooking and avoided processed foods, my life was full of stress, and I struggled with poor sleep. Despite my best efforts, my overall health was not where I wanted it to be.

Everything changed when I discovered Megan’s books while researching gut health. Her guidance inspired me to create a better balance in my life, particularly during COVID. I embraced regular exercise through walking and yoga, and integrated Megan’s recipes into my routine. Preparing dishes packed with extra plant points with the addition of hummus, pesto, and kefir has become quick and easy. Plus, thanks to her tips, I now have a well-stocked pantry and always aim for diversity – adding multiple types of beans or legumes to my meals is my go-to.

Today, at 66, I feel healthier and more fit than ever. By focusing on my gut health, I’ve strengthened my immune system and improved my overall well-being. Megan’s inclusive approach to food has not only benefited me but also my entire family, who now enjoy delicious, healthy meals together.
