Social Media Marketing Manager

Full-time (37.5 hours)
Remote working – within easy reach of London
Salary – £35,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) with discretionary performance-related bonus 

Are you a creative, data-savvy, and passionate social media professional with a love for health and nutrition? We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting an exciting new project led by Dr Megan Rossi (aka @theguthealthdoctor).

The ideal candidate will have a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition or a related bioscience degree. They will also have experience developing social media strategies, creating captivating content and managing social media accounts, preferably in the health and wellbeing sector. 

 

The role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has a personal interest in health and nutrition 
  • Wants to be at the forefront of nutritional science and health trends
  • Has a passion for social media and community building
  • Has a creative eye and can create visually engaging, strategic content that makes high-level information digestible
  • Has an analytical mindset and can utilise data to inform social media strategy.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a social media strategy alongside the Brand and Marketing Director for TGHD and an exciting new project
  • Creating and editing content for social media use, including videos/ Reels
  • Posting and community building across platforms
  • Using analytical tools to monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and provide data-driven insights for continuous improvements
  • Trend monitoring, staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and implementing strategies to ensure a competitive edge
  • Creating and implementing paid social media campaigns 
  • Supporting the Brand and Marketing Director with broader marketing activity, including (but not limited to) website content updates, monthly newsletter creation, including gut-loving content, the TGHD’s latest campaigns and news, and new launches.

Skills and experience

  • A BSc (Hons) in Nutrition or a related bioscience degree
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Social Media Marketing
  • Social media management skills, including editing, following trends and community management across platforms such as Instagram and TikTok 
  • Experience with managing paid social media campaigns across platforms such as Meta Business Suite and TikTok
  • Experience with platforms such as MailChimp, WordPress, and Canva (or similar)
  • Strong communicator who inspires confidence and quickly builds rapport with suppliers and teammates
  • Acute attention to detail, especially with written words and logistics
  • Flexible and unphased by ad-hoc requests.

 

Some details and perks:

  • Salary £35,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience 
  • Fully remote (within easy reach of London for meetings and events up to 3 x face-to-face days per month)
