Tanzil Miah is a gut health specialist dietitian with a breadth of experience acquired from working in both the NHS and privately for over 10 years. She has worked at world renowned institutions including Cambridge University and Oxford University Hospitals.
Tanzil is a specialist in the dietary management of troublesome gut conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and constipation, as well as having advanced experience in implementing the low FODMAP diet. She has completed both introductory and advanced level FODMAP training at King’s College London to support this knowledge.
Other areas of expertise include providing dietary advice to those who have conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and gut and gynaecological cancers, or those who need dietary advice pre- and post-gut surgery; including providing additional support regarding management of stomas, strictures and adhesions.
Tanzil continues to practise as a specialist dietitian in one of Europe’s leading teaching hospitals. Here she works to support clients with incredibly complex gut conditions who require nutrition support and dietary advice from specialist Intestinal Rehabilitation teams including those who require intravenous nutrition and hydration therapy. In addition, further to her academic achievements, Tanzil is also a member of the BDA IBS network and has been interviewed on the Voice of Islam Radio.
Tanzil combines a strong clinical background of managing complex nutritional issues with a passion for improving not only her client’s gut function and health but also their well-being and quality of life.
